Last week I got an email from the people at Tap! The iPhone and iPad Magazine informing us that Blogsy was selected as one of the hundred best apps for iOS. This is a huge honor and we really appreciate it. But the purpose of this blog post is not to brag about Blogsy being selected.

The reason for this blog post is that they emailed me again this week saying that they are having a contest where people vote for one of these 100 best apps as “The Best App Ever.” No, we don't think that Blogsy is the best app ever. I'm not even sure what I think is the best app ever. But these kinds of contests help us get some exposure for Blogsy which can lead to increased sales which leads to us being able to continue to improve Blogsy.

Blogsy in Info Magazine

We have a friend living in Brazil and he sent us a tweet telling us that he saw Blogsy in a magazine. Of course this was cool to hear and we asked for all the details. He said that he would be making a business trip over here soon and he’d bring a copy of the magazine for us. Thank you Mel for letting us know about this and bringing the magazine over for us.

Unfortunately we don’t fully understand everything because the magazine is in Portuguese but that doesn’t really matter. It’s just cool to see Blogsy in a magazine. Thank you Info people for adding Blogsy to your magazine!

Blogsy on Gizmodo’s list of “The Best iPad Apps”

Gizmodo's Best iPad Apps

 

Okay, I don’t want our blog to be filled up with posts about awards or special lists Blogsy is on. But, c’mon, you have to admit that Gizmodo is one of the major tech blogs out there. So the fact that Blogsy is on Gizmodo’s list of best iPad apps is something special enough to write a blog post about. I am writing about this now because I just found this.

It really makes us feel good and makes us believe we are on the right path with Blogsy.

Blogsy in a Webinar.

We got this tweet today.

So of course I had to ask @djakes what this was all about. He lead me to the International Society for Technology in Education site and also to the ISTE Webinar Site. I think it’s obvious from the name of the site that it is where you go to get information about technology in Education. They have a whole list of webinars to watch and learn.

Blogsy is App of the Week!

The folks over at TRTheory chose Blogsy as App of the Week for November 15th through the 22nd. Now that is some cool stuff! If you have time make sure you head over and check out their site and the review they did of Blogsy. What’s cool is that they made Blogsy App of the Week before they even knew about our Phoenix update.

And I guess there is something to learn here. We are suckers for badges so if someone sends us a review badge for Blogsy or chooses Blogsy as App of the Week/Day/Month/Year/Decade/Century we are going to blog about it. :) Can you blame us?

Blogsy in Vous et Votre Mac Magazine

There was a writeup about Blogsy in Vous et Votre Mac. They gave Blogsy 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We are just a group of guys that set out to make the best blogging app we could. We really didn’t think or talk much about the publicity and marketing side of things. So all the positive reviews and publicity has been an amazingly cool surprise. And I mentioned in a previous post that there have been quite a few reviews of Blogsy – which we are so thankful for. But getting into a physical magazine which could be bought on newsstands was a new experience for us. Something defiantly worth writing home about.

YouTube Review of Blogsy = Cool

I got an email the other day asking for permission to do a review of Blogsy. I honestly had no idea that you had to get permission prior to showing an app (or any non-TV/Movie content) in a YouTube video. Of course we gave him permission telling him to knock himself out. We were all excited to actually see someone else interacting with Blogsy. Thus far we have only seen people talk about Blogsy and take screen captures. We haven’t actually run into anyone, or seen anyone using it yet. Those are on our Christmas wish list. Now that Derek has done this video we are able to check the seeing one off our list. Still on the list is running into an actual user in a coffee shop or some other place using Blogsy. That one, I think, will turn out to be quite difficult to check off the list.
